Canelo has never been one to fight in the prototypical "mexican style": he is definitely a really good body puncher, but he's not going to sit there and eat leather to land his shot.

For an alleged fan, you sure don't pay attention.

The heck with big names, who has Golovkin ever fought that the audience, when the fight was announced, viewed the opponent as actually being able to fight at the top level?

Golovkin's best opponent to date is Kell Brook, IBF 147lb champion and a career welterweight. Let that sink in for a moment.

Why give a money fight to a guy who 1)hasn't fought anyone and 2)doesnt really bring any extra money to the table?

GGG is at 160 and ain't got the power of Canelo! Where do you guys see it at?? Because he looks great vs opponents we've never heard of. Come on now. Let's be real. He's not even fun to watch train. Alvarez had you of your chairs on the heavy bags.! Lol
Canelo couldnt even drop cotto lol. How is he going to drop someone bigger and stronger.

Well why give a fight to liam smith then? He brought a big zero in terms of money and interest to the table and canelo still fought him. Also didnt beat anyone like you claim GGG hasnt.

GGG will bring massive interest as an opponent for canelo, thats why everyone wants it. Nobody wants canelo to fight anyone other than GGG.

That is a load of BS. Canelo is proud of who he is and is not trying to be anybody else. Why should he? He is rich and successful and has the love of his country, his friends and his family. He is a good man so don't trash him. Boxing could use more exciting fighters like Canelo. He is a sportsman and a clean fighter in the ring and a respectful person outside the ring. He and GGG trash talk each other but for the most part Canelo doesn't trash talk and is respectful and polite to everyone.

Liam Smith brought a world championship and UK money with him, Alvarez basically needed someone to fight for the "Alvarez show", and Liam Smith sure as heck didn't cost $10m to bring in, lol.

Golovkin literally has the softest resume of anyone voted for or mentioned on ESPN's p4p list, sans Errol Spence Jr (and that'll likely narrow sharply with a possible Brook fight at 147).

              details are tricky things.

Also thinks hes the biggest star in boxing like floyd was after he retired, yet cant even muster over 1mil ppv buys by himself.

I dont think floyd ever did over a million by himself either. All gis ppvs were vs names and all his biggest ppvs were vs big names that could carry their own ppvs. Floyds ppvs were all about the opponents name regardless if they were past it or above their best weight.

I disagree with Canelo trying to be Mayweather. If he was, he'd be hamming it up, trash-talking, and trying to make himself into someone who people paid to watch get beaten. Instead he's a mostly humble and soft-spoken guy.

For all the flak he catches for avoiding GGG so far we all have to keep in mind he basically supports his entire extended family. Taking a huge risk for the sake of "glory" might simply not be worth it for him.

Yea the "canelo show" flopped on PPV. Thats why he needs to fight golovkin next. Because his mismatches will continue flopping.
