Cotto, Mayweather, Alvarez were the only GUARANTEED PPV super fights that followed Golovkin’s instructions for 154 to north was easy. Who else would Gennady have fought that would guarantee a PPV that GUARANTEED HIGH PPV?

Gennady isn’t a dummy. He saw how bigger Trout was to Cotto, so why didn’t Gennady offer Cotto 154 before even going to Middleweight to fight Martinez? He said he could do 154 back in 2013. Even so, Canelo told Fight Hype he would fight Golovkin at Caneloweightt, before Alvarez even fought Cotto.

But ggg fanboys will just say “but an HBO meeting was the reason Ward ducked” all when Gennady never even said he wanted Ward, not his focus...
Now, if we can tie this into the central theme of the thread, which is basically, "what boxing division does 155lb fall into", that would be nice

Yes they are debating the range. Read through the thread and count the number of "155 isn't middleweight. It's catchweight" you find. Or the whole charade dude went through trying to define "genuine middleweight". Or "it's only 1 lb", or "what's the difference in .2 lb", or "lil g said 160 is MW"

Yes, the range of middleweight is EXACTLY what's being debated here

You had already acknowledged that Golovkin was a Supermiddleweight in his fights with Dziarra and Amari. Did any of those fights off stateside soil had unofficial fight night weights? This was WAY before 2010...

Point is, Golovkin said 154-168 was easy back in 2013, why did Golovkin never say he wanted Ward then if you acknowledged him to be a Supermiddleweight? Was Golovkin really a Supermiddleweight neck to neck in two fights? Or is it easier to say “we’ll Canelo had his unofficial weights disclosed” as if no other boxers would fall in similar and general procedure.

How do guys like Crawford, Mikey, Loma tell the public that going up is what is needed for P4P and yet they do it, as did Rigo, but GGG gets a pass?

NO..... it is not, you clown

              it is.....

a fighter who has never weighed more than 155, and who has never faced a middleweight opponent, simply cannot be referred to as a middleweight

250+ pages, and you have no idea what this thread is about

I told you on many occasions that nobody has ever questioned the middleweight range

anyone who thinks that somebody is questioning the middleweight range..... has not been paying attention, and should shut their c0ck-warmer

I need evidence proving that Gennady is not over-hyped

                  exactly !

like I have asked on many occasions.....

why did Golovkin totally refuse to negotiate on weight with SUPERSTARS..... despite the fact that he was willing to negotiate on weight with NO-HOPER'S?

you are an absolute fkn idiot

NOBODY has ever questioned the middleweight range

                    middleweight is 154 - 160

anything that falls in-between 154 and 160..... is obviously a catchweight

we are referring to the fighter

FACT: a fighter who has never weighed more than 155, and who has never faced a middleweight opponent, simply cannot be referred to as a middleweight

So, you do acknowledge that 155lbs is in the MW division? A simple yes or no will suffice
