obviously wants it to just be matchroom now, he said a couple weeks ago Hearn is the only promoter he's known that has provided everything he's promised in terms of money, activity, dates etc.

Much of the anger flowed from Ruiz. He complained bitterly about what he felt was a lack of effort from Jones to promote the match. Indeed, Jones had little motivation to do so, since most of his cash would come from a $10 million guaranteed purse, in addition to money generated from pay-per-view sales.

this is from the new york times.
jones vs ruiz sold over 600k ppvs.
some sources say jone's purse was as high as 20 million. i don't believe that, but i do believe he had a 10 million guarantee and an upside.

meh. possible that he phoned it in, but i doubt it. he'd never fought anybody that fast. ruiz was an extrmely awkward fighter. it was no surprise to me that he had issues with jones' speed
