I don't see any of them in 2018. Top Rank will likely ease Bud into the division. Thurman is obviously doing a tune-up then Porter II. I doubt Danny Garcia will roll the dice with Spence.

I think he will get two fights next year. Peterson (a good fight and good scalp) and then probably something like Collazo (a waste). Maybe by mid 2019 he gets the Thurman-Porter winner if not then I see him moving to 154 then.

He should be fighting the best at 147 if he can get them in the ring.I don't see the point of moving up without building his brand first.

He is a welterweight an the world best welterweight in my opinion.
I agree, but who did he prove against? Brook? Nah.
We only base this on the eye test and his skills, not resume.

I wanna see him fight his biggest challenges, up to middleweight. I think his sealing is super middleweight.

Gives a tough nite to GGG but loses!

Sucks that the other champs ar 147 are icing him from legacy fights!

I expect him to end his career 160 and being a 3 division champ but having atleast 3 losses!
Yes, or supermiddle. Spence is a small middleweight now.

Spence is more of a Natural 154 than a middleweight, because if he stands next to the Lemmy, GGg, Jacobs, Saunders, Canelo, he'll be the smallest of the bunch. I don't like Spence going to Middleweight without at least 2-3 showcase fights.

I'm pretty skeptical of Spence but stillvconsider him a very good fighter. I think the fights against Thurman and Crawford are 50-50 fights but we won't see those maybe until 2019, the Thurman fight at least because I don't see Crawford fighting any Haymon guys. So that leaves him with Garcia and Porter to track down, both who lost to Thurman by the way. i'm not entirely sure he blows out either guy like many think, I think both will give him hell and bring down the hype a bit.

We meant the Spence's highest limit, his fullest weight potential before leaving boxing. Middle or super middle.

Good post.

But it seems like nothing is happening for him at welter. I don't know how he can sit around and be content with the slow pace of his career.

No, and I love Crawford. Spence will walk through him. Too big, too strong, too relentless. Crawford is the more skilled guy, by far, though.
