**** isn't really a socially acceptable word in the UK unless used amongst friends. It would be deeply frowned upon in the work place in comparison to the words like 'fu.ck'. Working on a building side for istance would be a different matter though.

I agree to a point, but it depends where you work, and who you work with.

My direct report is female, accountable for a lot of ****, and id guess her salary is about 120k, yet I call her a ****/whore/slag almost daily. It depends on who you say it to, and how it is delivered I'd say.

If it's in your nature and comes off as being natural then fine, but if you can't deliver it in a non-offensive way then don't bother trying.
