That being said, in my opinion, Joshua has to fight Andy in America to fully redeem himself. I think he knows it too. Let's hope Hearn won't get in the way.

big enough that the biggest purse for his fight with wilder was put up by an american promoter for a fight in las vegas and on showtime PPV! stop letting eddie hearn dictate the narrative and look at the economics.

i don't think you understand the basics, so we're about to go over them. supply and demand. let's start with demand. las vegas is the largest collection of 4 star hotels in the english speaking world. the casinos do more overnight for a big fight than joshua's entire career will net. they pay you to host the fight. ringside seats go for 50, 100 thousand dollars. there's a state next to nevada, called california, with an economy that is larger than that of england. really! you can go ahead and look it up. in addition to the ultra high end consumer, who spends exponentially more than the average UK "pub fan," and who brings in most of the vegas revenue, las vegas also has something that YOU don't understand. mexican americans. there are about 40 million of them in the states documented. 20+ million without. that's bigger than the population of your entire country! they pack the closed circuit, smaller casinos, and the nose bleed sections of the stadiums. a nose bleed seat in las vegas costs more than everything but having your elbows on the apron in a soccer stadium in england.

for a little perspective on how small a european gate is for comparison, remember joshua's fight with klitschko? wembley stadium? 80-90K people? it did less at the gate than hopkins - calzaghe did in las vegas. tickets for a joshua fight start at around $60 US! and hopkins - calzaghe was at a time when there was a very obviously better LHW in the division named chad dawson, and both hopkins and calzaghe were washed! again, this is just a matter of economics. the gate for joshua - parker was also less . 60 dollar ticket start for that one as well!

joshua's not only not nearly as popular as you think, he's going to be a hell of a lot popular with your casuals now that he has lost! you gotta stop listening to eddie hearn. the guy is a salesperson and he's not an honest man.

eddie will benefit from this fight not taking place next. joshua can improve, come with a new gameplan, get his confidence back, and win. he's got the tools. eddie probably knows this and he's probably playing the long game.

so you act like you want the fight in the UK and like a diva. in reality you don't want the fight at all right now. ideally ruiz loses and the belts go to wilder, then you beat him for all the marbles and you're the highest paid boxer on the planet. styles make fights, i think joshua does better with wilder than he does wiht ruiz. still think he wins that fight, but he might not be man enough if that makes sense.

I applaud a fighter getting right back in there.

I still would like to know what big shot decisions Andy is making.

i would try and get him on a dazn card as the headliner and with mexicans on the undercard. build his brand and get him headlining cards. take a paycut, but make an easier fight of it. chris arreola if he can get back in the win column in a couple weeks, for example, would be a PERFECT opponent. he'd put up a fight but ultimately get outworked and stopped, build up would be cool, both guys speak spanish and english and they could do a presser in mexico. there would be a division between the cali guys and the mexi cali / mexican guys. it hink it owuld be a fun little fight to build his brand and that's what i'd be trying to do if i was them.

I know the pickings are slim but Arreola ?!?!?

Fun fight if a person likes one sided affairs (at this stage, Arreola wouldn't stand a chance).

Is the word ''immediate'' anywhere in the rematch cause ?

It's not just about how much they will make off ticket sales. Plus there's no guarantee it'd be in Vegas since first fight was in NYC.

But to the point, It's about viewership. The fight will be on DAZN which is still fairly unknown in USA. Now if the fight was on PPV over there then I would agree that it would probably be bigger in America due to Mexican audience. But DAZN is still fairly unknown.

There's no DAZN in UK. The fight will be on PPV in UK. Joshua fights get million plus PPVs. There's a big chance that this fight will sell the most PPVs to date, and that includes the Klitschko fight. If its in primetime that is. If the fight will be in US and be at 4 am in the UK it won't sell nearly as good.

Plus bigger doesn't only mean bigger financially. It's about the hype and the buzz and there's no doubt that this fight will generate more buzz in the UK and Europe in general than it will in the US, with Mexicans or not.

Makes perfect sense. I don’t think Joshua will win the rematch, in spite of his physical advantages.
                    Joshua might beat wilder.

Joshua needs a few tune up fights.
