No no no. If a POTUS decides to genocide his own people, then he can launch bombs, jets, tanks and nukes. But if he simply wants to show and establish his power and control, he sends in the infantry personnel to round civilian people up. For that he uses soldiers. And infantry isn’t gonna do much if they’re faced with an armed civilian population.

Your arguments are invalid. Why did the states lose in Vietnam and Iraq? They could have blown up the whole place a hundred times over and wipe everyone out. But that was not their goal. They sent in infantry to face the fight. And the infantry loses against an armed population because of numbers.

US Military lost 4k soldiers. There was between 150-460k Iraqi casualties. Lost though. That was nowhere near full force either not even close.

That was an unarmed population, and many of those casualties were from terrorist and guerilla attacks, not US soldiers.

Send soldiers over down to Texas to take over, see what that leads to...

What? Those numbers include the Iraqi army. Are you trying to claim Texans have better weapons than the Iraqi Army? Do Texans have tanks, RPGs, mortars?

Are you going to hide among the innocent that want no part like cowards?

Are you saying that the army would act internally as if they were sent out to war on hostile battlefields? Will they come in and massacre the population and lead to plenty of bloodshed? No, that’s why when the population has weapons it keeps a certain balance which would otherwise lead to a huge bloodshed. It prevents the government from becoming overly greedy.
I don’t know, throughout history, with so many revolutions happening across time, an armed population is a real strong army in itself.

I somewhat surprised how they fail to see that a an army infantry would be beaten by hundred thousands of armed civilians.

And its not like they aren't going to be lead by Ex-military Colonel's, seargent's and some privates, the populace would become very strategic if ever they are warned about Government tyranny.
