      Absolutely and in the past we have devastated our own habitats and native species while in the industrial and agricultural stages of our development.

      Now we can see other countries doing the same thing, like poaching in Africa, deforestation in the Amazon etc. We can tell them the consequences. More than that, we can and are in many cases, maybe not enough, be paying them to stop doing what they are doing. They aren't doing anything that we didnt do hundreds of years ago, we have reaped the rewards for that as well, now we should share the rewards to try and stop the same mistakes happening again.
