    As far as I'm concerned, anything under a 100k is poverty.

      Depends on where you live and whether you are single or have a family and how many you support. It also depends upon how you spend your money.

      In the vast majority of the areas of the US a $100,000 allows for a very comfortable lifestyle.

          Most people are living in poverty.

          For example, someone making 60K night as well be on food stamps (or they may already be). If you have a mortgage, car payment, insurance, etc you wil probably be taking payday loans to get by.

                Again it depends on where you live, your level of dependents, how you spend your money and the level of debt you hold. A single person with no debt can live well in Manhatten for $100,000 annually. I know single people who live well in Manhatten making much less.
