well...when i said obscure i was more meaning the fighter mentioned....rather than the artist...which is why mentioning mike tyson wasnt really "obscure" to me.....

Or How about this one where they mentioned me back in '82 & '83 'don't push me cause i'm close to the edge' by Grandmaster Flash & Melly Mel

My brother's doin' bad, stole my mother's TV
Says she watches too much, it's just not healthy
All My Children in the daytime, Dallas at night
Can't even see the game or the Sugar Ray fight

      Ahhh...the good ole dayz

Not a lyrical reference but in the video for this song you see a young Floyd and Zab training and shadow boxing each other. Year was 2000. Check out the lyricism here and to think this was considered "mainstream" back then really shows you how Hip Hop has fallen off.
That video was prophetic because you had mayweather and Judah fighting in a Fight Club type of environment then Judah fouls Mayweather. They fight years later and Judah fouls him twice which caused floyd's uncle to jump in the ring.

u don't follow too well do you

I said sean price referencing mike Tyson "isn't very obscure"....as I mentioned the obscurity was more directed towards the fighter mentioned and not the rapper....never did I imply someone referencing james toney wasn't obscure
