  • If Ward fights Kovalev again

If Ward beats Kovalev a third time, would there be excuses again? Honestly, I would puke if there were excuses again, even if Kovalev tripped over his own legs and broke his arm during the fight... But you never know. Some people have a hard time dealing with reality. Kinda like adults who still insist that Bruce Lee movies are greeeat movies, while refusing to even watch the classics like Godfather and Shawshank Redemption...

There are always an excuse in boxing if you look for it properly. You just have to have the rose-tinted glass on and tune it to whichever part that helps enforce that excuse.

Ward and Kovalev are closely matched. Most viewers though Kovalev deserved to win the first fight and many don't agree with the stoppage of the 2nd fight. It's just as likely Kovalev wins a third fight as it is that Ward wins a third fight. After all Kovalev didn't retire and now holds a title. You talk like it's a certainty that Ward wins a third fight and you want no excuses from Kovalev. Kovalev could very possibly win a third fight maybe by KO. Then it would be Ward who should not make excuses. There is no third fight coming up so apparently you started this thread just to trash Kovalev and praise Ward.

What if Kovalev beats Ward in their third fight ? With his new lifestyle who knows... What would the Ward fanboys say ?

You already had two "ifs Kovalev beat Ward" moments. As of right now, the most logical assumption would be that Ward repeats what he has already done twice.

Kovalev has already been figured out by Ward Now.
I expect non stop body plows and borderline low blows from the opening bell.
Kovalev is soft to the body. Something I notice a lot of hard punchers be susceptible to.

Once imo, i thought Kovalev outboxed him the first fight. If he can improve his body, he can do it again.
