he's a six division world champion. not eight. you can't mix lineal and alphabelt.

What has this legend and ambassador of boxing ever done to be unilaterally stripped of his 8-division championship belt? Let the man build up boxing so that you may continue to enjoy the sport.

I'm just asking a simple question. Can you really consider him a 8 division champ when he didn't beat the top guy at 135, 147, and 154??

I'm consistent. I don't consider Floyd a 5 division champ because he didn't beat the top guy at 140.

I count Hatton at 140 because people still felt like he was the best guy at 140 despite him not having a legitimate title.

I think if you don’t beat the top guy you’re still considered a “champ” although the more astute would refer to him as a belt holder rather than champ

He had a great career. He's the second best fighter of his era.

It's really sad how certain *******s feel the need to pad his resume. We got fanboys really talking about Manny's flyweight days like that **** is relevant

You would open quite a can of worms. For the Joshua Wilder negotiations extremists, one would say that Joshua deserves a formidable lions share for beating the man at HW.

Edit: with Fury’s drug induced retirement, it would be reasonable to consider Klit as the man again.

                    doesnt work like that.

if you want to recognize lineage, fine. then count how many divisions he held lineage. its certainly not 8.

but you cant pretend the belts dont matter and pretend they do matter to try to pad his count up to 8.
