you're going against the grain on your entire face?

try not to do that . just on your neck and under your jaw where it's tough to get to going with the grain, and make sure you pull the skin tight.


i'm no shaving expert, i use an electric on it's lowest setting. my skin is so bad that i'd get cut to ribbons if i shaved every day.


also maybe try an aftershave if you can stand it. that will prevent the redness and bumpyness, which is really just a localized infection.

Get the water as hot as you can stand it on your face right before you start. This will open the pores of your skin more. Slow down a little and make sure you're running perpendicular with the blade to avoid cutting your skin. Also, go back against the grain, especially in your neck and under your chin. Be careful though, you can cut yourself easier going back.

You may want to experiment with shaving cream for sensitive skin. Could be causing the red irritation. I also personally find a gel works better than a foam
