That's just an excuse to justify him looking like **** in the fights that he did look like ****.
If I end up wrong then it is what it is- but if it turns out to be a tough night for Thurman it wont be the first time Garcia surprised me when I thought he was poised to get dropped. I'm not a Garcia fan, I think his resume is littered with cherry picks- Thurman isn't one of them though.

I'm not talking being right or wrong. Everyone is right or wrong at one point or another. Garcia hasn't looked like **** in fights because he fights down to the level of opposition.
He was dominating Judah but what happened towards the end of that fight? Some say he was beating Peterson early on (I didn't think so) but what happened in the second half of the fight? He got busted up by Herrera, why? What about in his other FNF type level fights where he also looked like ****?
I've been expecting Garcia to get stopped by somebody for literally years now, even since he beat Khan. He was getting his ass beat and then he knocked Khan TFO.
That's always been Garcia's whole thing. He isn't that tight of a fighter and yet he is still undefeated to this day. It's amazing to be honest.
He was squarely in the Floyd/Manny era and he never fought them, Cotto, or even an old Mosley- and others.
Glad he's fighting Thurman- but 140-147 has steadily remained a deep and talented division the entire time Garcia has had belts.
He might have ruined Matthysee's but it seems like he did a lot of damage to his own career to. This is the first real challenge he's taken and he hasn't looked good since honestly.
