B Hop deserves all the credit for beating Trinidad though.

But don't disrespect a thorough legend like Bernard Hopkins, him facing a prime Roy Jones Jr and Trinidad trumps all of Floyd's prime opponents he's faced!
I'll always give Mayweather big time praise for moving up in weight and his first fight was against the best guy at 135 at the time in Castillo!

may. 2 reasons;
1 - even IF their resumes are comparable, may never lost
2 - may fought in more weight classes.
bonus, what kinds of careers did the guys hop beat have ? were they ever true threats or were they just the next guy up ?

Floyd definitely has one of best resumes of all time but I'm still picking Hopkins cuz he just retired, damn man hard to believe watching these two as i got older and now both are gone!
Some of the last breeds of guys of that era where boxing was more than just a paycheck!
