The taxes are too high and the state is not willing to budge in order to lure sporting events, which is why Vegas - which has no state tax - continues to snatch up all of the major fights from boxing and MMA.

      Yes,, it'll be a huge blow to Boxing. Dana and the UFC have been waiting for this for years. Expect a HUGE first card in the Mecca

        It likely wont affect ticket sales that much, because the "crossover" is minimal. Where it might have an effect is on the small shows who sell VIP tables and sponsorships to the local businesses, law firms, etc. MMA events might pull some of that revenue away from those smaller boxing shows.......

            Boxing will take a hit if the best don't fight the best Mayweather created a Duck Run ,Hide ,Hold, cry about gloves , retire than fight has beens with a Million miles on them. I bet Joe Louis and Sugar Ray Robinson are turning in their graves
