I mean from an Olympic perspective Phelps, but like some others mentioned there are a lot more chances to win Gold in swimming. Personally I'd like to be Flash over aquaman.

They are both equally impressive. I can appreciate the fact that...to be as dominant as he has been, Phelps had to master a multitude of different strokes. We all know Bolt did something that has never been done in winning 3 straight Golds. They are both legends. Living. Freaking. Legends.

Damn near everyone can run. Go swim ONE LAP and see if you're not breathing hard. It's phelps by a wide margin. There are several different strokes he mastered for competition. Bolt is impressive however. He is fun to watch and to be that fast 3 olympics in a row is a feat that will go down in history.

Lots of truth, lots of different strokes. Nobody is stopping Bolt to run the hurdles, long jump, or rumming 110 hurdles. There are plenty of track events Bolt could have entered.

I wouldn't say by a wide margin, they're both great athletes and immensely gifted.

Ps I recently went swimming after a decade hiatus and was completely exhausted lol, very demanding activity.

It's nuts dude. I workout and train 3-4 times a week...but swimming uses muscles that don't get used elsewhere. That, combined with not knowing the breathing needed for the sport, is utterly exhausting lol
