This just shows how stupid the Democrats think the voters are.

This is the same thing they did with Obamacare.

They knew that premiums would rise, but they simply lied to the voters and told them the premiums would go down. We know this because Gruber told us so.

This time, they knew the tax cuts were going to result in bigger checks for most workers, but they went out and lied and the voters they were going to see tax hikes so Johnny Richbags could get a tax cut.

Reagan did in the 80's and the economy skyrocketed to a point that even Clinton reaped its benefits.

Because of lobbying efforts such as a one time bonus on a permanent tax cut

Why didn't H. W. Bush reap the benefits ? Why was there two market collapses and the single greatest day of a loss of wealth in the United States history

Yup. People will set some aside, and others will spend some, get the economy wheels turning nicely.

Because the government subsidized/backed housing loans for people who clearly couldn't pay them back. I thought by now this was common knowledge..

That and maybe it had something to do with the fact that now every single persons income tax bracket has been lowered which means more money in their pocket, people now can double their standard deduction also way more money in their pocket, and if you have 3 kids you're getting $6,000 from the government tax free.
