I feel that's the whole reason Floyd did his first retirement was the WW division was so hot that he couldn't satisfy everyone and beat all the names in it with how often he fights, so let them scrap it out and when the dust settles take on and beat the winners of the guys that were still relevant. Mosely, Cotto, Pac were the guys that succeeded and brought the $ to the table, and if Margarito was still relevant and at around 147- 154 Floyd would have taxed his a$$ also. I wouldn't be suprised if he did the same thing again. It's unlikely but once the WW dust settles and a new King is crowned that's he'd come back and take on the Guy wearing the crown at the moment.

Yeah for sure. That's why I was a fan of Antonio and it's easy to root for him not the most skilled but he had heart for days. He let his will overcome skill which to me always gets props. He would take a beating to break you.

As for the last paragraph I agree Mayweathers underrated when it comes to his toughness, He's no Margarito but he has 100x the skill so he doesn't need to go in the trenches he can win with his talent and his mind. I don't think Mayweather liked to get hit But when he got rocked he ate it like a true champ and didn't let him faze him. That shot from Mosely & Maidana would have took out most fighters
anyone who likes to get hit is insane and an idiot...boxing is hit and not get hit and defend yourself at all times.

a fighter doesnt get browny points for taking punches...its entertaining for the crowd but a detriment to your health. Nor should a fighter be scrutinized because they have the reflexes and skills not to be hit. Has nothing to do with " not liking" being hit. People like barn burners and bloodletting. Anything less is a disappointment to casual fans, which is why it took mayweather changing his persona to be a crossover star. he was dominant and barely took hard shots.

we'd hold mini kumite different styles and style.I boxed a few years in my early 20s and wrestled in high school

when me and my friends used to spar they'd say " man he doesn't like getting hit!"

.....translation: Sit still and stop moving your head so I can hit you......uh no....you better work for your meal

Agree 100%

It wasn't a knock on him just a observation. Some fighters I would say don't mind getting hit like I would say Manny didn't mind getting punched in the early part of his career because hed shake it off and try to hit you back twice as hard
