Jacobs said himself in one recent interview that he felt frustrated because he didn't understand how he couldn't be more popular.

    He basically admitted it.

The reason is that he's not that good, or he's not willing to prove it.

GBP can offer 3.5 to Saunders
Alvarez can pay the price that Saunders is looking for; the rest of it isn't worth talking about, tbh.

Though the WBO doesn't go out of their way to be a part of unification fights, they're not opposed to them if their champion wants to pursue such a fight.

Still, not sure how that would tie into the statement that you were responding to.

WTF you talk about. Keep it real.
Showtime put a significant amount of money behind the fight, Barclays Center put a significant amount of money/time behind the fight, the fight was a barnburner for the brief period that it lasted, and no one that had an actual stake in the fight left grumbling about anything.

The ratings and the attendance were what they were, but the folks the actual money people were happy with it.

Barclays Center is chomping at the bit to host Daniel Jacobs next big fight (the new insurance rules have clearly put a damper on the type of fight that makes sense to bring to Barclays Center), and Showtime has already made it abundantly clear that they are ready to put up a massive fee to host Jacobs' next big fight.

MGM Resorts paid $16m to host Cotto-Alvarez, decided to stage the fight at the 12k-seat Mandalay Bay EC, and only chose to sell maybe 2k tickets (with the rest being kept for their gamblers/friends).

If you honestly think that Showtime/Barclays Center, after the Quillin fight, isn't going to go to the mats to stage Golovkin-Jacobs, you're being silly.

The reason why Loeffler continues to delay the bid is obvious. Keep it real; if Barclays Center could pay $2m to stage the marketing face of their merchandising brand at their home venue (having Lou DiBella, New York's foremost promoter, make back that money with interest at the live gate with a competitive fight between two fighters with profiles in NYC), you're kidding yourself.
