Jeff Novitsky was just on Mark Bell's podcast (Mark Bell is a former PED using powerlifter along with his now deceased former pro wrestling brother & were both featured in their other brothers doc, Bigger Faster Stronger about PEDs awhile back that you probably heard of). It was an extremely insightful talk about PED tests, testing & protocol. I'd recommend it for anyone curious about the process. Novitsky who is with the USADA has popped 30ish UFC guys in the 18ish months he's been policing the UFC under its 24/7/365 testing system. Meanwhile boxing keeps with this bs ass few weeks before a fight testing for a small minority of fighters & most cats are still doing just post fight Walgreens job level piss tests which shouldn't be catching anyone with two brain cells to rub together & people defend some of these guys without understanding how this **** even works.

And f#ck man I'm ultimately pro banned substances, but if we are making rules about banned substances people should be abiding by them or they should get suspended if not banned from the sport.
I've used Ostarine you take it everyday for a 6-8 week cycle. It takes a few weeks before you start feeling/seeing any difference. Makes no sense for someone to just use it occasionally. These tests obviously aren't picking it up.

Were you using Ostarine in a pro or amateur competitive sport environment while being testing for banned substances?

Did you play around with testing yourself to see if Ostarine was being picked up or not on your own banned substance test to avoid being caught if you were being tested?

What were you using it for performance-wise?

How did you measure its affect on your body?

Did you try a lesser amount for a similar or longer period to see how it affected your body vs your 6-8 week cycle?

The earlier positive VADA test was politically motivated, just like the Kovalev-Ward scorecards.
        Good post,

Clearly there is an agenda to make this fight not happen, governing bodies not being happy with their American athletes having to travel to Russia because they can beat the rich Yank promoter in the purse bid.

It definitely looks like a smear campaign against Povetkin, Floyd does something forbidded without asking for permission and they give him a TUE months after and suddenly everything is okay no rules broke, no punishment handed out either there is a clear double standard here.

Also - huge fan of your name!

Lol made me think of the HW journeyman that is used as a stepping stone to transition boxers from the F/D level, to the C level: Owen "WHAT THE HECK" Beck. Hahah, that's seriously his real moniker!
Yeah that was the idea, though his name should be pronounced Hook, not Huck. I love the WTF nickname though. Really suits his style.

"DMAA is sold currently as a dietary supplement and as an ingredient is various energy preparations. Due to safety concerns, DMAA has been temporarily removed from military stores in the US. Its use has been linked to several reports of serious, life-threatening side effects which appears to be the main reason why the World Anti-Doping Agency added DMAA to its prohibited substances list in 2010."

You're right. We shouldn't pick and choose which banned substances are more acceptable than others, but one is banned solely because it has deemed to be dangerous, and the other is banned because it is regularly compared to anabolic steroids. Clearly one guy had intent to cheat, and the other did not, and that intent is shown by this particular person being popped for another PED just 6 months ago. Stiverne accepted his punishment, and didn't attempt to lie in any way (he even noted Superpharm on the medical portion of his random test form). PEDvetkin is still making excuses.

I agree that anyone ingesting something on the WADA list should be held accountable. However - I do also believe that intent, and the type of drug consumed, should be proportionately reflected in the punishment. There is quite clearly a difference between ingesting X banned stimulant contained in an energy drink, and ingesting Y through whatever form, that is comparative to an anabolic steroid.

It's a bit like one blanket punishment for all assaults doesn't work - there's a difference between an open-handed slap, and busting someone over the head with a lead pipe.

If tests hold up - both Stiverne and Povetkin need to be punished. And common sense dictates that the punishments shouldn't be the same.

But when there was a controversy with Povetkin's test, STIVERNE *****ED!

Shows the difference in the character, and balls of the two.
                Very true.

And with this second result being clean, the first result with the microscopic amount is not really an indication of Sasha's cheating.
