That style of fighting that more or less everyone used during the K2 years outside of K2 themselves is Delboy's style. Dude's from the latter end of that era and everything.
Whyte fights exactly like those no hope sad sacks whose best accomplishment is doing better than expected against Vitali very late in Big V's career. That's why Dillian-Dereck is a competitive fight.
It's also why this is boring in reflection to the ranking. Whyte's a no hope sad sack regardless of how much the UK wants to pretend there's something resembling more than a Leapai in him. Chisora already proved he's a no hope sad sack. They already had a fight confirming these no hope sad sacks are about equal to one another.
So either Whyte continues to be a step away from a title fight or Chisora takes it from him. Either way you have a no hope sad sack reminiscent of the Wlad era defeats in position for a title fight. He is going to take a slot that would have been more interesting if someone with a different style all together had it, regardless of who he ends up being. If you drop the name value no one actually gives a **** about that style. Every fat sad sack without a name is ****, if they knock out a couple other fat sad sacks to get to a champ that just makes them Wlad era ****...a fat sad sack with a name = Wlad era **** and nothing more.
That said I'll go Chisora because this is probably his last serious push and everyone likes a comeback, but I don't want either of these men in the title picture myself. It was boring when Wlad knocked them out and it will be boring when Joshua, Wilder, or Fury does it as well. Hell, the ****in' worst thing possible is if Del wins and Tyson wins and for his first defense Tyson fights Del for the third stink fest except this one's a world title caliber fight.....c'mon, ain't no one needs that. Change the names a bit and all of a sudden it's interesting? **** you, Whyte-Joshua is not interesting again. Delboy-Gypsy King is not interesting anymore. Either of them vs Wilder is a joke. It's a lame, boring, and not very successful style once you're fighting men who are actually capable of performing techniques to theory perfect perfection.
