I don't think he should play for England.

RLC is better than him. Alli is a goal-threat for Spurs not for England. RLC is better at football and as a conventional midfielder. Delle Alli has given the ball away the second most in premiership apparently. He's pure instinct.

England just need to pick the players who are best at football and keeping the ball. Players like Henderson, Alli, or Sterling shouldn't start. They are highly functioning cogs in their club's machine but for England you see their actual level.

Wilshere, Lallana, RLC should start for England tbh. Even if they're on the fringes at their clubs. They are technically vastly superior to the 'big names'.
