Marquez was not the first guy to prove Pac Man was beatable so what makes us think thats the only reason he fought him. And could we say the same about Mosley Hatton and De La Hoya. Once Mayweather beat them Pac saw that he could do it too?

yes we know he was afraid. that's why it took him 5 years to fight pac and showtime/cbs forcing him to fight him. pac getting ko'd cold probably took a little bit of his fear away so thats good for little scared floyd. he never overcame his fear of margarito though and still mutters 20 million 20 million over and over

Lets be honest he did not have to choose Manny for that fight. He could have easily stolen Cotto or Canelo from one or the other.

I highly doubt Floyd lacked confidence. Expecially after watching Morales vs Pac 1. And the three Pac vs Marquez fights prior to the KO.

well yes floyd was the reason the fight got made because he was holding it up. interesting way that you framed it though... a more accuate way of saying things would be that showtime/cbs forced floyd to fight pac, but that makes him sound scared. sometimes reality doens't go along with what we want though so we play the semantics game

Be that as it may. The fight was made and Manny said leading up to the fight he agreed to everything Floyd wanted because he didnt want to hear any excuses. And after the fight......well we all know how that turned out.

even NSAC was aware of pac's injury prior to the fight, they just denied him legal resources

                    fishy isn't it

Correction. Canelo was the one standing his ground due to the Mexican holiday. Cotto could care less about the date. He was also stalling because there were rumors he would fight Floyd instead. GBP had to convince Canelo to back off that date but it was only in the event Pac vs Mayweather was made. Props to Canelo i was glad he did that.
