In other words he's saying, he won't elevate Canelo for beating Smith who he was apparently supposed to beat (despite no physical advantages) and got "exposed" after fighting Ryder, and he won't drop Crawford for beating Brook who he was supposed to beat and got "exposed" after fighting Zerafa.
In other words, Teddy doesn't care about credentials at all. Which SHOULD result in Crawford not even being his list.
If he doesn't care about credentials for guys someone should beat, that means he's negating Indongo, Benavidez, Horn, Diaz, Burns, Lundy, Kavaliuskas, Khan and Brook. Hell, what's left???
You can't criticize Canelo and say he "should have" beaten Smith and thus you give him no credit, but then proceed to give credit to Crawford for beating guys he "should have" beaten, multiple times. Hypocrite in the finest sense.
