Alex Jones/Info Wars removed from Youtube, Facebook etc..

Youtube shut down this livestream and temporarily suspended this channel for merely TALKING about Alex Jones and playing a clip. They took away their ability to livestream......that shit is outrageous.

An update to this situation from h3 in the comments of his latest video:

For those of you that don't know the context of the title, 20 minutes into our new episode our stream was unexpectedly shut down while talking about Alex Jones. We received a strike and therefore were not able to livestream anymore. So we had to continue the episode offline and combine the two parts. Since then our channel has been reinstated, the strike removed and we are able to stream again. YouTube said it was a mistake and has apologized.

Silly comment. We have a two party system for a reason. Just as we have a mixed economy (capitalism AND socialism) that is allowed to flux as the world around us changes. Having a left and right makes us a stronger nation. Rigid systems fail over time.

Let's say Amazon ends up totally cornering all kinds of markets including their present attempt on grocery stores and then suddenly decides that they are gonna ban everyone who had purchased what they deem as false news

It is not a lie. Nobody has presented a clip in question. I'd like to see a video. BTW that article was from April 2018, months before all these platforms coordinated and banned him on the same day. It seems that all platforms are referencing "hate speech" as their reason. I can skim through some TYT videos and find multiple instances that could fall under "hate speech" but I don't see anyone suggesting they get banned. Same with their hipster darling VICE. Blatant lies, race-baiting and divisive identity politics but yeah they are free to post their bullshit.

I've been aware of Alex Jones for over 12 years and have frequented his stuff many times since and I don't believe he promotes racism or violence against individuals. Even if he uses the word tranny I can't find any instance of him promoting hate or violence against them. He has spoken out against the muslim migrant crisis because it is a real issue but unless I missed it I haven't heard anything that completely crossed the line. I've seen him get referred as a racist and a Nazi but that couldn't be further from the truth. At worse he panders to those people and has only done so since Trump took office. If somebody commits violence because of a comment you posted online does that make you responsible?

That article is one of many that were published for months leading up to the ban. A bunch of hack journalists that suggest that it is the media platform's responsibility to shelter their consumers from "fake news". One even suggests that Netflix is irresponsible for having Zeitgeist documentaries(which are fantastic and thought provoking) 9/11 documentaries, and even a documentary that suggests that the ketogenic diet cures cancer. Same thing for Amazon Prime and Hulu. This mass wave of censorship has been in the works for a while now.

Have we really become such pussies as a society that we need protection from documentaries and news that challenges the current state of affairs and multi billion dollar industries? Shouldn't we have the freedom to have access to all information no matter how controversial as long as it is doesn't harm anybody? The beauty of these platforms is that you can simply ignore it, just like I do with anything from the dinosaur mainstream media.

The fact of the matter is that CNN lobbied the government to take Infowars down. Congress in turn put pressure on FB, Youtube and Apple do take Infowars off their platform. The mainstream media is dying and this is a clear sign of desperation on their part. They are threatened by the fact that Infowars is viewed as more credible than their brand of fear and war mongering. They must not be aware that censorship doesn't work and the Streisand effect is in motion. I didn't even watch Infowars but since the ban I downloaded their app and frequent their website. Many others did the same.
