FIFA players...bad ping matchups....how to deal with them?

OK so I'm playing FIFA13 on PC and to be honest the laggy matchups in seasons have me on the verge of tossing the game out the ****ing window.....

At least in custom games you get to pick an opponent based on ping...

Some of the games are unplayable...I mean its like 2 frames a second...

Has anyone figured out a way to quit withouht getting assigned a loss?
