It seems to be going rampad on here..people refusing to accept a fighter they support losing..even if they get stopped there are 100 excuses.What happened to giving credit where its due??

no joke, i'll be going full troll / heel if connor beats floyd as a coping mechanism for boxing being a complete joke. luckily there is almost no chance of that happening.


boxing is mostly a joke and a sideshow for this fight to even be happening. but ideally a bunch of people who have never watched a boxing match are going to tune in and realize what it means for a debuting fighter to be fighting an all time great with 50 pro fights and an amateur pedigree which included the olympics. and that schooling will give boxing SOME validity.



but if floyd loses boxing has no validity. it'd just be a sideshow, and the fighters wouldn't even be good enough to beat a debuting novice.

Idk about all that. I think most of the time when a guy you like or not loses you gotta create a reality on why what happened happened & its a fluid thing that keeps moving forward showing ones capabilities or limitations.

The perfect examples are prospects who's potential or lack thereof is constantly influx as they move up the competition ladder. A prospect can be "the next whoever" or a complete bum after a W or L in many fans opinions, but most importantly that W or L gives us new info about a guy which can enhance him or not in our own minds even if we are being reasonable. Idk that I'd even call that excuse making its merely coming up with a new opinion based on more information.
