Time is the single most valuable thing in the world. Ask a rich dying old man whether he would choose his 8 figure bank account or 1 day of time, and guess what he would choose.

That is a wild concept. In America at least it really does apply to the vast majority of people.

I used to think like this, but I live in California which is like a ******ed high cost of living. If I lived like in Arizona or Orlando I could probably be more at ease.

When the economy and market was sky high and everyone was ballin, everyone I knew was buying houses and condos and properties. Those same people I know lost all their properties few years later.

Ton of my friends got laid off, so did I from 6 fig jobs.

I even knew these entrepreneurs who were making millions from their restaurants and now they are barely breaking even. Mostly because of new competition and the state coming down on them for their overtime pay and taxes.

So I guess it is possible to be your own boss in a different state, but here in California its much much harder.

Does working for yourself not mean you end up working more hours? Or is it that you can pick and choose your hours?

When I was freelance I was doing crazy hours, but I was a lot younger and didn't know how to structure things properly.
