  • Comments Thread For: Kovalev On Bivol: I'm Interested; Not Running From Real Fights

NEW YORK Sergey Kovalev is well aware that Dmitry Bivol is coming for him. To become boxing's undisputed light heavyweight champion, Bivol realizes he must at least go through Kovalev, who won back the WBO light heavyweight title by knocking out Vyacheslav Shabaranskyy on Saturday night. That's among the reasons Kyrgyzstan's Bivol attended the card headlined by Kovalev and watched him dismantle Ukraine's Shabranskky from a ringside seat in The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

If he beats Bivol then Beiterbiev an Andre Ward rubber match becomes very attractive.

I just get the feeling Ward will stay retired.....but ....in the real world he could look at it and think he dominated him in the rematch and for a train load of money and rest...so yes..if he can.

        Kovalev-Bivol-Barrera triangle on HBO.

Stevenson (PBC)-Beterbiev(PBC or TR)-Gvozdyk (TR) triange aren't as eager to fight each other.

Say what you will about Kovalev but he often goes for the toughest fights available. Hopefully this fight happens soon

dominated him in the rematch....so ward is going to be stricken with alzheimers where he forgets what happened? there was no domination...most had kovalev winning until he was ko'd with low blows. how does that turn into domination??? obv low blows are prob out of the eqution for the third fight so hes gotta think of another way to win? hmmm hes used headbutts, clinching, low blows, and gift decisions. how about karate kicks? his fans will find a way to justify that sh-it
