Default What's a good resting heart rate?

I was relaxing. Sitting on my couch watching TV and drinking my coffee and decided to see what my heart rate was.

It was 43 bpm. Seems pretty low, but for a trained athlete who works out a lot, I'm told it's normal.

What's your heart rate like? How much can your heart rate tell you about your current state of health?
