In the UK AJ has precedent for the kind of offers Hearn can confidentlymake.
But Wilders team just don't have any data to give them confidence there not going to go broke overbidding Heath. It's a huge rush for them. So unless they can lay most of it of with guaranteed they have to be very careful about making a real offer.
      That's true.

I know Haymon and Finkel are serious operators but I don't think they can realistically compete on this occasion. Hearn is arguing from a position of strength. Joshua has now sold out 3 stadium nights here in the UK and done well on UK PPV. The domestic market has a lower ceiling than the US but there's simply no prior record from Wilder to justify the sort of money they'd have to guarantee AJ to get his signature and without that they have no product.

Hearn has the figures and as near a guarantee as possible as long as the fight is in the UK. The variable is how much US PPV interest may be drummed up on a fight taking place in the UK at an inopportune time for the US market.

$12.5 million offered to Wilder is over six times his biggest purse and that was way to generous. Wilder turned down bug money fights now vs Whyte and Povetkin plus this AJ fight. It's clear this fraud is just looking to continue fighting bums and no hopers Haymon employs to take a dive to make Wilder seem legit. His punches don't even land right, and clearly fighters under Haymon are taking a dive.
You don't want this fight to be made....When D.Wilder K.O.'s Aj you gon be like And then

Boxing is a great sport but I'll admit we probably have the dumbest, most impatient and cynical fans of any sport and it's not even close.

The fight will be signed this year. I have been saying that for the last 7-8 months and it looks like I will be proven correct. I thought it would be signed this year and scheduled for next but it appears it will likely to happening this year after all.

This time next year the Joshua-Wilder discussions will be about who ducked who still after the fight happens and if (when) Joshua wins Wilder's fans will mostly be gone.
Because a lot of these poster are fanboys. They knew they jumped the gun. But a lot of them are NOT man enough to come out and admit so. Now it’s the “Flat fees” to duck a fight narrative.

Wait another 2/3 years you would see another set of fans saying/doing the same thing to another boxer. That’s why you know they are fanboys or nationality fanboys.

So far the only side making offers is the one that is ducking. Only in boxing. And the same guy that they are begging to make the fight is the one guy who is a liar.

How long will it take them to reply with a counter offer?

Hearn has already admitted that Wilder is a massive risk and they really do not want that fight. He said why fight Wilder for $26 or $30 million when they can fight an easy fight for $20 million.
