Bottom line is that a third fight against triple G will sell like the two other. They had to go 2 weight class up to get a big enough name.

He shouldn't have staked his career on junior middleweights coming up to fight him at middleweight. He should have chased greatness at 168 by fighting Ward, Froch, Kessler, Bute. But I wouldn't expect Golovkin fans to understand what chasing greatness is. They only expect that out of Gennady's opponents. Like expecting Cotto, who won his first title at 140, to fight Golovkin at 160, while defending their idol from Ward when he suggested he wouldn't go higher than 164 for Ward. You are a sad, little man. Can't wait for Derevyanchenko to knock his block off.

Thank you dude. This post is a perfect opportunity to showcase how full of ***t GGG haters are.
You said GGG fans expect greatness from his opponents but not from him. Why? Because you expected GGG fight Cotto at a catchweight for the middleweight belt GGG was the mandatory for AND you wanted him to fight Ward without any catchweight stipulations.
So you want GGG to prove his greatness by meeting Cotto at a catchweight but don't want Ward to prove his greatness by meeting GGG at a catchweight. Likewise you want GGG to prove his greatness by fighting Ward at the weight class Ward was champion of but you didn't expect Cotto to fight GGG at the weight class Cotto was champion of. Riiiiiiiiiiight. And its the GGG fans who are holding people to a different standard.
Lets me educate you on some things. You can prove your greatness in many ways. Some prove their greatness by jumping around different weight classes and winning championships at multiple weight classes. Some prove their greatness by dominating their division. Which way is best? It depends. By staying in one division you could avoid fighting tougher opponents in other weight classes. People who move up could be avoiding tougher fights in their previous division or cherry picking the weakest champion in the new weight class for the recognition of winning a belt in a new weight class rather than actually fight a challenging opponent. GGG tried to stake his greatness by unifying his division. Winning all those belts gave him the shot at Canelo that he might not have otherwise received.
Meanwhile you have Canelo who chose Britain's 5th best super middleweight in a challege for a secondary belt. Now he's choosing to fight a guy who lost 3 of his last 7 (two of those by KO) for a belt at 175. He could have made the trilogy fight with GGG after their first two fights were really close. He could have unified at 160 against two former 154lb champions he ducked at that weight class (Jermall Charlo or Demetrious Andrade). He could have unified at 168 against the likes of Billy Joe Saunders or Callum Smith. He could have tried to win a belt at 175 against Dimitri Bivol.
This Ginger Coward is cherry picking his way through 3 weight classes and its GGG who you're saying isn't daring to be great. ***k off.Last edited by yankees7448; 09-26-2019, 11:12 PM.
