If Wilder was in the driving seat financially, he'd have Joshua knocking at his door and looking for the best offer.
Wilder doesn't have anything to offer Joshua financially. If Wilder was Joshua's ticket to earning more, Joshua would be the one chasing and asking for more. But as it is, Joshua's side are sitting back fielding the requests for big paydays.

What is it about this simple equation that some people don't get?

Yeah Eddie, your Diva was on cloud nine when he got dropped by a washed up, 40 year old Klitschko, if that was Wilder who had AJ glass jaw/Frank Bruno 2 dropped and hurt, we wouldn’t even be talking about this hype job that is going on

They took a risk in Joshua 19th pro fight with that washed up, 40 years old kilt, in trying to throw insults at boxers, you are trying to disrespect Wladimir. The same Wladimir who Wilder never fought even though he was a pro for 9 years, Wlad deserves better than that, I really hope Hearn does nothing to make that Wilder fight now.

I doubt Joshua would be asking for 50-50, even Ricky Hatton with his massive fan base didn’t ask Mayweather (Of 2007) not Money Mayweather of 2010 onwards for 50-50. Hatton still his place, he knew he would get well paid, he knew he was getting a shot at a top fighter on the P4P list.

Wilder (I know is negotiating) would hopefully be realistic after he beats Ortiz or Breazeale, if not we might end up watching Joshua v Fury, Haye, Povetkin or Whyte II.

HEARN Won't carry on selling out stadiums with low level fighters so Joshua and Wilder need each other as I don't see Wilder backing down like Parker.
Parker, Fury and Whyte? Then there's Pulev, Povetkin and even up and coming UK fighters like HFury or Daniel Dubois.

He sold out a stadium and did 78k tickets and made 15million vs Takam/Pulev ffs.

Joshua is the guy with all the options.

But Wilder shouldn’t be getting much more than Parker.

At the very least, Parker fought in the UK

They both hold 1 paper belt, but both aren’t popular fighters

Wilder would be lucky to accept 40%
Wilder signed to fight the boogeyman Ortiz and had already travelled to Europe to face Povetkin, not his fault those guys tested positve.

Even now Wilder is trying to make a fight with Ortiz or Povetkin.

He aint at the same level as Joshua but he definitely ahead of Parker. If Parker gets 35 than Wilder must get 40, if Parker gets 30 than Wilder must get 35.

Whatever the case may be, everyone knows that Joshua vs Wilder is bigger than Joshua vs Parker.

Wilder holds the prestigious green belt, has knocked out everyone of his opponents just like Joshua, and there is the America vs Brittain dynamic too.

It will be the first time two guys who have knocked out every opponent clash, it will be America vs Brittain.

Parker aint got nothing on that, he's a guy who got two contested decisions in a row and there is no real hype around him.

Joshua definitely deserves the majority share though whoever he is fighting.

You may be right in saying Wilder doesn't deserve 40 percent, but everything is relative and has to be taken into context.

Wilder doesn't deserve 40, but Wilder deserves more than Parker. So, if Joshua gives Parker 35, and Wilder deserves more than Parker and he knows it, isn't it obvious that Joshua will have to give him 40.

What Joshua can do is to fight Wilder first, and offer him 35 or 30, that way he can give 25 or 20 to Parker when they fight. But he doesn't want to fight Wilder first, and Parker knows this, which is why he is demanding such a high price.

I guess you could say the excess that Joshua pays Parker is the price for ducking/delaying the Wilder fight.

And BTW, he isn't where he is for lack of talent.

Joshua is way ahead of where Floydie was at that point in his career. Not even close.
