  • Who was the most physically strong boxer of all time?

Out of all the past boxers who would you say was the strongest & why?

Ernie Shavers had one of the biggest punches. Sonny Liston was freakishly strong and had the largest hands of any heavyweight until today.

Solid candidates, It's hard to look past the current super sized heavyweights though, they've got to be strong.

people often said Lennox was strong as phuck.

Yes, the super HW's like Lewis, Klitschko, Wilder, etc., must be very strong. But there is different types of strength. Punching power comes from ligaments and tendons, and then there is core strength, legs and back, different ways in which fighter's develop their strength and power. Plowing fields will make you strong as a bull, you may not bench press as much as Ken Norton, but you can be stronger in other ways like Tua.

I heard hasim rahman has a 500lb bench.

But in terms of functional, in ring strength, i'd have to say lennox lewis, he was strong AF and used that strength in fights.

            The ubermensch Vitali Klitschko

Nobody ever was able to manhandle this man in the ring, and that includes Lennox lewis
