Linares is a guy like Kahn with boxing abilities, reach, athleticism and A speed and speed kills...
BUT also with pretty bad intangibles for the elite level (hearth, chin, focus: all three of them being related).
Just like Kahn, Linares never has been outpointed (even in their KO losses) but koed multiple times. They hard as hell to box.
So when you fight that type of talented boxer with suspect chin/hearth, it's a big task if you're a smaller feather fisted guy like Loma was.
That's why I think Linares isn't a great win but was a great test because of style/new division and Loma should get props.
Loma is not ready for Mickey yet, need to lose some bad habits, Mickey is 100% a polished pro fighter, Loma isn't yet (90%) has weird habits despite all his talent.
That being said and despite the fact that Mickey brings more to the table than Linares: defense, timing, strenght, Ring IQ, finding the distance and rythme,
Mickey doesn't have AT ALL the speed, the long reach and the athleticism of Linares and won't worry Loma on those aspects.
