How much are you making right now if you don't mind me asking?

Are you going to living yourself? Renting or buying?

would a 60-80K range be enough living there?

planning just to rent and live with my wife and 2 daughter..

          you'll be fine.

just depends what you're use to in philippines.

Maybe. Is your wife also going to work?

You can buy a nice condo for 200-300K and a nice house in the 400-500K range.

my wife is a nurse so i think she will be working once we already settled there.. but that is not part of the plan first.. take care of our children and cook for us, that's her first priority..

house/condo can be motgaged right? and also the car?

RN's make good money in the US.

This is what I would do if I was you... I would rent an apartment or condo right now because you're the only one that's going to be working. You don't want to have a lot of bills if you're going to be the only working and you don't want to living paycheck to paycheck. Buy a use car instead of buying a new car.

You can buy a bigger house/condo, better car, and upgrade things after your wife starts working.

You can get a loan for the house/condo and car.

Californa is super expensive, especially close to the ocean like Sad Diego where I grew up. The further from the ocean the more affordable it is.
