  • Is Khan Hated By The UK Because His Family Are From Pakistan??

Having to contend with hostile crowds, being emphatically booed at his own fights by his own countrymen, Khan is considering leaving the UK for a more stable environment. He believes his relative low profile in the U.S. would not only help him train more effectively and ultimately maintain his focus as a fighter, but would also allow him to enjoy life outside the ring.

    Let's ask the question directly..

If Amir Khan was white, would he be idolized instead of booed by those same fans, much like Hatton and Calzaghe? Is Khan hated by some sections of the British public primarily because he is not white and specifically because his family are from Pakistan?

Maybe, but i think he is a ***** still and he whines way too much and brags about his win over Barrera when it should have been a NC.

Khan would never have got the support he did after the Olympics if that was true. He gets hated on because he ran his mouth, saying that he would be the youngest british world champ etc while fighting C class fighters and then got exposed by a C/B- class fighter.

        yes.

Its mainly those poor council estate chavs who are the problem. Far too many of them in the north. No need to leave the UK, jsut come to the south.

Hes hated by some boxing fans cuz hes a hype job.

Hes hated by people who've never seen him fight because hes a muslim/pakistani.

Hes hated by the rest cuz he won a gold medal at the olympics and has more money/fame than Jack the lad down the pub.

Hypejob?! So what you call Joe Calzaghe, someone who didn't leave his background, defending against mandatories for over a decade and who's claim to fame is beating a couple 40 year old has beens in the US?! Khan fought old Barerra true but that's what young fighters do so they get the experience without risking their careers before they're ready, Joe Calzaghe was already over 30 and over 30 fights, there was no reason to avoid the real champion and go for Jones. Compare the credit Joe Calzaghe got for beating Jones to the credit Glen Johnson or Tarver got for beating a much better version of Jones in much more convincing fashion. That's a pretty good indication of an hypejob.

Remember that most often the real hypejobs are the popular fighters, an unpopular fighter like Khan usually deserves it when he's hyped because no one will just hype Khan for no reason. Khan ain't releasing a DVD about how he beat Barerra.

I don't blame him, I blame Frank Warren more for making out this kid was the second coming of SRR. I like Khan, I just don't think he is or ever will be an elite fighter.

Allucard the hater, Calzaghe beat lacy, kessler, eubank, bika, veit, prime-sheika, prime-reid, mitchell, woodhall. Calzaghe didn't need roy or hopkins.
