nice looking birds. i'd legit go birdwatching if i had more time. we got ospreys in my area. they're at risk, so conservation en****** build them little houses in the marsh. basically like a bird house up 15 feet or so on a pole. they catch fish, turn them so they're facing forward and aerodynamic, and fly them back to the nest to feed the little eagles. it's quite a sight to see.

bald eagles have made a comeback in my state. see them around sometimes.

a few winters back i was watching my parent's dog for the week while they were out of town, and i saw several eagles kill canadian geese and eat them on a frozen body of water. i remember one, immature eagle chilling on a block of ice, floating down the river, with a goose kill. the ice was basically red, and there were feathers all over the place and blowing around. goose down is super soft, so the feathers were getting whipped around by the air and trailing off like the halo on a comet. in the middle of a pile of feathers and bloody snow there was a spine . got out the binoculars and watched this blood red block of ice float down the river while dude bird finished his meal. one of the coolest things i have ever seen. these birds were BIG

In 8th grade we had this field trip Outdoor Education and we go camping and do archery and crap like that (fingered my first chick that week, Tai) she was Colombian.

Anyway we had a bird master or whatever and he had some hawk, flew around and crapped all over everybody.
