    Overall is a crappy list that has been discussed here many times. There are so many things to pick apart that I don't even know where to start.

      you can start by who is more credible someone whose profession is being a boxing analyst or someone who posts on boxingscene who has no credibility in what he thinks/says are the greatest fighters

        Working on ESPN doesn't make you credible hahaha That list has Oscar significantly ahead of Arguello and Pernell Whitaker at 44th. And last I checked, you too post on boxing scene so...yeah.

          but really some posters on here have whitaker and monzon ahead of julio cesar chavez despite him being a three division champ and facing the best there was

                I appreciate you getting this out of the way and immediately letting us know this was a troll thread. But to answer your question....I know plenty of posters on here and other sites that show more insight and knowledge of the sport of boxing than most sports analysts. And considering one of the main criteria for this list was mainstream appeal, this list can never give an accurate description of the 50 greatest fighters all time.
