  • Wilder is fooling nobody. His idea of Joshua avoiding him, is AJ not willing to give the bum 50/50 when he’s fighting cab drivers and can’t fill a town hall in Alabama.

I’m no Fury fan, but if Breazeale doesn’t beat him I hope fatty Fury does. At least Fury has the plums to fight Joshua, unlike Wilder, who does most of his talking outside the ring.

Crazier every day with this wilder cat, who is he again?

      "Wilder is fooling nobody. "

I would say hes fooling a hoard of stupid people which is why he caters to a certain fanbase and gets away with being stupid himself even if hes unaware of it !

Why do you ignore TBRB rankings that have Parker at #3 when he faced Joshua then?

            Such a technicality.

Klitschko was removed from their rankings due to inactivity and you know it. Go back 4 months when he was stilll on it and here's the result:

            http://www.tbrb.org/2016/11/22/8-november-2016-2/

Not only is he in the top 10 there he's positioned as the number 1 ranked heavyweight.

Try and spin it as much as you like but anyone without an agenda is going to call any version of Wladimir Klitschko as tougher opposition than Bermaine Stiverne.

Don't ignore it at all. I've always said AJ has the better overall resume, but he doesn't have any wins yet against guys that pretty much everyone has in the top 3 or 4. Wilder has two wins of that nature so far. AJ is about to get his first when he beats Povetkin.

Some had Parker #3, but many had him #5 or #6. Boxrec had him #6. So hard to consider him a consensus top 3 guy.

I always bring up his 18 month layoff when explaining why he was no longer a consensus top 4 fighter. Not a technicality. That's a long time to be on the shelf, especially after you looked so terrible in your last fight. What would have been the justification for still having him ranked so high when it had been so many years since he looked like himself?

Asked the question yesterday, and didn't get an answer. Who is "everyone"? The Ring and TBRB had him #3, and Boxrec rankings are a joke. Who else should we care about?

Edit - ESPN also had him at #3

To put those rankings in perspective, Joshua had only beaten Breazeale (who hadn’t beaten Ugonoh yet iirc) at this point (bearing in mind Whyte hadn’t done anything yet) and they had him at no.1

I remember TBRB had Joshua in the top 10 rankings after he beat Charles Martin lol.

TBRB are ok, but no where near infallible. Klitschko was one of the 4 best fighters in the world and no one can logically argue otherwise. Actually, it’s hard to make a case he was anything below no.2 (behind the champion Fury and maybe Povetkin) at the time.

Wlad not being top 3 or 4 is just a technicality. He's being literal with it (which does make him right to be fair), but only when it suits him.
