  • pac/cotto keys to victory

    For Pac:

    - box early, set traps, and don't over commit (cotto will take his time and pac can outwork cotto)

    - uppercuts, uppercuts, uppercuts (cotto never saw an uppercut that he didn't want to get hit with)

    - righthook to the temple (torres almost ended cotto w/ this punch, and pac is a great finisher)

    - pour on the punches around round 5 (cotto will gas, and run, he won't be able to keep up w/ pac's speed and workrate)

    For Cotto:

    - jab, jab, jab (cotto's jab should be strong enough to move pac where ever he wants)

    - throw the right hand more than he usually does especially in the middle of the ring. (Common sense against southpaws)

    - back pac up (keep pac's back on the ropes and stay busy)

    - hook to the body when pac is on the ropes (cotto needs to slow pac down early because cotto won't be able to keep up w/ pac's speed and workrate late)

    - never back up ever. (If cotto starts giving up ground to pac he will get KOed, same as everybody who backs up against pac )

    - throw combos when pac punches. (Jmm's tactic)

    - foul pac when in trouble (there's no way pac should be able to hurt cotto and if a former 106 lber can hurt cotto, then cotto needs to quit boxing, but if ever cotto does do the chicken dance again, he needs to low blow and/or hold on for dear life)

    - get a better trainer (he don't have to train cotto, he just needs to come up with a better gameplan than cotto's robotic performances and motivate cotto to stick to the plan)

    - resist the urge to quit or take a knee (once a quitter...)

That's what I am afraid of Cotto might give Pacquiao a low blow when he is in the verge of taking a knee. Typical Cotto defense when he's under attack. Hope he'll box fair and square 'cause he's fighting a small featherweight.

Yeah you can hit a few before they take points away so is not a foul.
