You choose one story. I have over 4000 from Trump. Why do you follow a lying reality star that just have the largest tax cut in history to the rich, gave people like you crumbs and now will take your social security to pay for it?

This is some ******ed sh-t that 1bad65 ran with for a while. DO you understand why the collapse in Venezuela happened or are you just going with basic alt right talking points?

Unless the US economy becomes centered around oil production and that production dries up, there is no way the US economy will collapse like Venezuela.

This isn't surprising. People are studying economics differently now. Instead of just regurgitating old theories, modern economists look at the strengths an weaknesses of each type of economy to try and form the best system possible. That system will likely incorporate elements of both capitalism and socialism.

Is Phil Mudd and the other "patriots" pushed out of the inetlligence community going to run for congress?

Nothing says American Exceptionalism like using the NSA spy grid to surveil domestic political opponents heh heh

We are and have been for many many decades a mixed economy. A mixture of capitalism and socialism. Economics 101.

I have to admit the USSR had a pretty great anthem, despite being a totalitarian s/hithole that eventually collapse.

Right, Venezuela and everywhere that tried Socialism did it wrong because they concentrated on A B C or D, instead of doing X Y and Z.

Centering around oil production was not what collapsed their economy, many countries center their economy around oil production and are doing fine much less starving. What collapsed their economy were socialist policies like nationalization and setting price controls to name a few. But everything begins with baby steps, Chavez instituted a lot of these terrible policies and Maduro had the displeasure of inheriting them, and expanding on them.

The bars are oil revenue in Venezuela. The line graph is inflation. Inflation was not out of control until oil revenue fell over 90% in a 3 year window.

To ignore this is beyond playing dumb. Oil revenue dropping so much so quickly is definitely an important factor.

Who is ignoring the price drop of oil? Venezuela wasn't the only country to experience the effects of this, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Nigeria to name a few all felt the sting when oil plummeted, the difference is that the latter countries weren't complete morons when it came to managing their now diminished revenues.
