If a guy retires and stays retired..it's not a duck. Period.

And the 2 of them fought. Was a close fight till Vitali got busted up like the fragile Ukrain he was.

He came on too late in the fight and, even if the doctor didn't stop the bout, it was still a highly competitive fight and anyone/everyone would lean to Lennox

You don't understand the rules of ducking.

Ducking 101 sh^t: Not fighting for any reason that could be perceived as being for the purpose of avoiding a bad matchup or just a legit top contender (or not in some cases) for a boxer is a duck.

well....maybe but prime Holmes retired after his second loss to Spinks in 86 and Foreman didn't even start his comeback till 87.

              - just saying

Yes but you have to be realistic about it.

You said the vitality rematch and yes, that could ideally be labeled a duck because Lewis did talk extensively about a rematch in a controversial fight.... Then retired lol

Ali can't be accused of a duck against a guy he fought thrice. That's unrealistic.

Have you seen almost every duck thread? There is minimal "realistic" sh^t going on with all those threads.

I disagree. Just cuz you fought a tough guy in the past it doesn't mean if you avoid him at a future date it isn't a duck. That would be like saying Canelo wouldn't be ducking GGG if he didn't rematch him in May, don't matter if you talk about it or not publicly like Lennox. A duck is a duck.
