  • Should GGG follow Khans lead and move up because fights he wants arent being made

Say what you want about Khan but he has always made these 3 things clear.

    1) He wanted to retire by 30
    2) He wants to fight the best
    3) He only wants big fights

people crap on Khan....Amir ****, Amir Cant etc...but one thing for sure is this guy has a good resume and has shown he wants to fight the best....fights he wanted were not made...he wanted Bradley at 140, never happened....he wanted Mayweather never happened....he should be fighting the PBC guys but Porter and Thurman are fighting each other and he doesnt see a fight with Garcia happening anytime soon especially considering what Angel said in regards to a rematch

Khan has balls....he jumped to face one of boxings cash cows and its a win-win situation....PPV will do big numbers, its a winnable fight for him, and adding the WBC title will add to his legacy

should GGG do the same, because there in unrest between the fans about his opponents recently. Should he move up?

Not necessarily just Golovkin but Khan just made the entire landscape of boxing look bitchmade.

Ward needs tuneups to move up, Khan said screw a tuneup

Canelo wants catchweights to move up, Khan said screw a catchweight. I'll fight you at the full Canelo weight.

Loma and Rigo are nitpicking over 3-4 pounds.

I hope this sends a message.

The difference to me is Khan can get fights with top tier fighters at WW, he just avoids them while waiting for the big payday. GGG can't get fights at MW with top tier fighters.

GGG tried to secure big fights at 168 againts Froch and Chavez but they both *****ed out. There's really nobody else that's gonna be a big fight at 168 for him.

Let's not pretend like khan is a fearless warrior who will take on anyone, this guy is just desperate for a big fight.

He most likely will if the Canelo fight falls through. There isn't much at middleweight other than winning the belts, which is probably why k2 went to UK to talk about Eubanks at 160 and DeGale at 168. If the Canelo fight doesn't happen they'll probably try to unify first and if that's not possible take a fight or two at 168 and potentially stay there depending on how things go.

As far as khan being a fearless warrior....dude isnt 30 yet....look at his resume...he sure isnt afraid to fight the best... you dont fight tough SOB's like Maidana, Garcia and be a wimp. Fought former champs Alexander, Judah, Malignaggi, too....Khan isnt liked very much but he justs wants to get paid...boxing is prize fighting you know and who has a better resume than Khan at 160 and below...Cotto? Pacquaio? Maybe Garcia? Khan is far from a coward...proof is in the pudding

people would pay good coin to see GGG in with Jack, Degale, Winner of Abraham-Ramirez or even Andre Dirrell if he could nab a belt in the future

This. He wouldn't do it against anyone. He wants the Canelo money.

He's getting at least 5+ millions.

But still it's good for boxing so I'm ok with it.
