This feels like a 'winner is a contender and loser is relegated to gate keeper' type of fight.

Although I feel that Chavez is kind of already the latter and is trying to climb his way out.

I thought Chavez Jr was suspended again for refusing to take a PED test?

It's not easy to get out of a Haymon contract. Only few have been able to do it.

Chavez has said that he doesn't want to fight for "his manager" Haymon because he never knows how much he is going to make.

Look it up, it's in Spanish and he's sitting in his back porch.

Chavez Jr. ruled the roost at Middleweight in at the turn of the decade with a record at 160lbs reading as a who’s who of the best at the weight in recent history.
Andy Lee, John Duddy and Marco Rubio were his best wins at 160? I get that they're trying to sell him as a big threat but come on dude.

What...? Haymon guided them both to this point. He's never against his fighters fighting on a different network, as long as the $$ is right. Look up Jacobs interview where he clearly stated Haymon qas front and center when he was in negotiations with matchroom and Hearn.
