The only thing relevant about that song is how stupid society particularly the youth rapping and the others in the video are. What he is rapping about is pure nonsense, People consume modern products and technology because they want to, and if they didn't then those products wouldn't exist because the demand wouldn't exist. This victim mentality is getting beyond ridiculous.

The best part is toward the end of the video. It shows his perfect idea of the world where people are back in the wilderness without any technology. Back in the same wilderness where the average lifespan was 30 years of age, because something as small as a mosquito bite or lack of clean drinking water would end your life. Where food was scarce and if you didn't hunt and kill your prey you might not eat that day, where before you could eat you'd have to skin the animal and clean it of its guts every single time you wanted meat, and then whatever you didn't finish you had to discard because there were no refrigerators. Where shelter lacked proper heat so you'd have to stack logs and fire them up every couple of hours to keep your family warm. Where half of pregnancy resulted in death of the baby. I mean it takes complete ignorance to not see that we live in paradise compared to what our ancestors experienced.

These idiots are sooo spoiled that they have no idea how good they actually have it, and then you have other morons parroting this video like it speaks truth to power.

You seem out of touch with modern culture. Do you get out much lol? Not trying to insult you, you just honestly sound like someone who doesn't get out much.

Because if you did, you would know the importance placed on what you wear, what you own, and how you are socially shunned, judged and outcast if you don't own them.

How people lose their minds over the newest fashion or trend and how women kill themselves to be considered the most up to date beauty. They get injections, beauty treatments, surgery, basically everything that Hopsin is talking about in the video.

The part at the end was an analogy for the purity of being human. How at our core we don't need anything to be at our purest state. He's not saying we should live in the wilderness. Hopsin owns multiple mansions lol.

It's an analogy for detachment, and detachment is freedom.

You also seem out of touch with reality if you deny the top 1%'s propensity to control and condition the population. If a system has all the power do you really think they're not going to do everything in their power to keep that control?

In the Philippines I can basically be considered part of the top 5%, I employ and use cheap labor, i'm treated like a king by the lower class, and of course me and my peers hog all the resources and keep up this idea that our status is unreachable by them, and that they'll never get out of their status because if they did, then we could no longer live the way we do off their shoulders.

This is just the situation in a small pond. I'm talking about the top global 1% now. With more money than there is water in the ocean, they have basically unlimited power to do whatever they want in a world with expanding technology.

You're out of touch with the way social culture is and the way the world works.

With exponentially expanding technology and the equally expanding wealth discrepancy between the 1% and everyone else, we are entering the matrix, if we're not already in it.

That is humanity's destiny. To be ruled completely by the 1%. The rich get richer the poor get poorer, and at some point the rich will be absolutely too powerful to be stopped. They will have free reign on the world and everyone in it. When you have that kind of power, morality becomes irrelevant.

The only way to stop it while we still can, if we still can, is individual empowerment on a mass scale.

If not, within 100 years, we'll have 1% of the world being overlords, and the rest of us will be nothing more than farm animals.

Do you understand that all the issues you bring up in the posts in regards to the video are extremely trivial... The importance of what someone wears or women getting botox is what you and the rapper guy deem a legitimate problem?

As for the 1%, they literally have almost no negative effect on my life or yours for that matter, in fact its the complete opposite. The 1% created your smart phone, your car, your computer, your television entertainment, your clothes, your medicine. I bet you don't blame the 1% when you're buying something off Amazon off your Apple Iphone while driving in your Ford or Toyota or whatever car you drive. I bet you really think of how horrible the 1% is when you're watching Netflix on a big screen TV, connected to Comcast or Verizon wifi that they created.

The irony here is that a lot of the 1% wants to be liked and be part of the common people so they push really socialistic reforms on behalf of folks like you, instead folks like you will continually spit in their face.

I guess that is what happens when society is so good for people that they need to invent things to complain about.

Yeah you really don't get out much lol and you're content in your middle class bubble. Try travelling the world.

That ideal society you're experiencing doesn't apply to everyone, and your middle class contentment might be enough for you, but others have different aspirations and ecosystems to pursue them in.

What does traveling the world have to do with anything I said, or for that matter what you said? At first you're the one bringing up the middle class bubble talking about plastic surgery and fashion brands that people chase and then you switch gears to saying I should travel the world to see that this doesn't apply to everyone? You make no sense.

Even the less fortunate in the world benefit off what the 1% has created when it comes to the internet, smart phones, cars, planes, medicine and the charities that helped eliminate world hunger in the past 30 years.

Take a look at today's world and then take a look at the 1980's world and realize how much better off people are today than back then.
