solid card happening & i cant be there. another heavyweight higgins is fighting in his 2nd pro fight.olympian & carl froch sparring partner adam trupish is on the card too.local boys anthony lessard & james trotter on the card as well. this is the best card ive seen in edmonton since fields vs firtha.i will catch the sportsnet west replay in a couple weeks

Why is he fighting out of Canada now? George Chuvalo should come out of retirement and knock Fields out.

my friend said fields was totally ripped & looked much faster then recent fights.he was 262.5 for this fight.apparently the best hes looked since the firtha fight in 2009...cut off the ring very quickly.firtha said the same thing after his fight with fields.he was shocked how quick fields was.it sounds like he needs to stay in the 260 range to be more effective...

I admire Fields for sticking with the sport. It seems like every time he's stepped up to next level, he's been KO'd in dramatic fashion (Barrett, Grant and prospect Mike Perez)...

hes made a solid living boxing.hes been on hbo, versus, prizefighter, sportsnet west in canada & soon tsn.he has been chief sparring partner for several top contenders...actually i thought the perez stoppage was premature...hes a C+ level fighter.
