  • Miguel Cotto to return to 154 for last fight

The article is in Spanish, but pretty much states that Cotto wants to return to 154 for last fight and is willing to go as low as 149 for a Marquez fight. Apparently Cotto is already in great shape.

Marquez is a small welterweight, Cotto is a light middleweight. JMM hasn't had a notable win in 4 years. BS fight.

        JMM gets battered.

Cotto vs Bradley is much better fight than Marquez, for his farewell fight. They can meet at 150 catchweight or 154.

Marquez last fight was May 2014 (2 yrs inactive), freaking small and 40+ yrs old already. Mismatch for me

Edit: I actually wants Trout Rematch but its not gonna happen, because of Roc Nation-Haymon.

Cotto is the #1 Contender for Liam Smith WBO Belt, I think that should be who he targets for his last fight, try to win that belt and then retire!

I dont think its that bad but I do think Marquez definitely needs a tune-up but from last I heard the knee isnt to well. If Marquez goes straight into a Cotto fight he loses, depending how he looks with a tune-up will tell the outcome of Cotto vs Marquez.

How so? They're not fighting for titles. They're fighting in what is most likely their last fight professionally. I see no problems with this fight. I think its a good stylistic match up.
