K2 took as long as they did to even make the first fight, K2/HBO have been angling to stage Alvarez-Golovkin since Alvarez came over in 2015, the fight was razor close, and Golovkin doing better in a rematch is a tough order for K2 to weigh.

Why talk about wanting a rematch, when is clear beyond day that there's no chance that K2 even whispers about the fight until they see that Alvarez check?

Because you and your camp seem to think that "fighting a carrot" is worth 20, and that's never going to be offered ever.

If he's not going to actually fight a carrot, the boxing world seems to have actually enjoyed seeing him fight someone actually worth fighting, which'll likely turn that 2 dollars to at least 4 dollars.

That's all they could do because at the time Rafael reported that from a conversation he had with Tom Loeffler, Ward wasn't fighting A N Y B O D Y
All Ward could do is talk about fighting because he chose inactivity and court dates with his (dying)promoter. You remember when Ward went inactive after Nov 2013, all through 2014 and didn't fight again until June 2015?

Don't hear any Ward "fans" piping up about Canelo actually sending a contract to Chavez Jr to fight at 164.5 though.
          Funny how that works out

If anything the pressure is off of Canelo, at the cost of his WBC belt when he vacated it. If Canelo wanted to get in GGG's head he'd have angled himself to face BJS for that belt being the only roadblock to all the belts.
Golovkin spent years talking about wanting all of the belts (when Cotto had the WBC belt), talked of only wanting the belt (when Alvarez got the WBC belt), and then still kept talking about Alvarez, once he got the belt he as allegedly chasing, with nary a mention of the man with the final belt.

No different than Alvarez chasing the Cotto fight for as long as he did, Golovkin actually doesn't give two actual ****s about getting all of the belts. at 35 years old, he's simply looking for a name fight before his skills fall into deep decline

Keeping GGG inactive is a "tactic" now.
ODLH is trying to do the same thing b*tching about GGG fighting in June instead of sitting out until September.

Jacobs and his camp set a price, and simply waited until K2 was willing to pay that price; doubt it was any more complicated than that, tbh.

No different than Billy Jow Saunders having his price set, with K2 now only openly talking of the fight because the Kazakh government is seemingly set to put up a ton of money to stage an event for Golovkin in the summer.

Do you know the difference between 15 and 20?

I disagree. GGG has always mentioned unifying at Middleweight and is one belt away from the winner having them all. Surely GGG didn't just go this far without intending to face BJS for all the marbles. Time will tell.

Time will definitely tell, but I have my doubts; if Alvarez had actually valued Golovkin the way K2/Golovkin seem to think they actually were worth, and offered a 40% share of everything, I have no doubt that Golovkin would've said to hell with heading back to Kazakhstan for ****.
